CIS Piper Seneca II

One of the most iconic general aviation aircraft.  The Piper PA 34 200T.  Better known as the Piper Seneca.

A 6-seat Turbo Charged 200hp twin engine.   With a ceiling of 26,000 ft (make sure you have oxygen) and a range of 850 nm it is considered one of the most versatile aircraft in its category.

Now CIS (Captain Iceman Series) brings this amazing aircraft into the world of  XPlane 12.

Taking advantage of the new aerodynamic improvements made by LR in XPlane 12, we paid special attention to the flight model of the CIS Seneca II.  The result speaks for itself.

From the first time you sit in the cockpit, the superb modeling of the steam gauges and the cockpit will transport you to the real aircraft.

With accurate 3d modeling, PBR materials, two default panel options, the integration of the Reality XP 400 and 700 series, and the option of the 2-blade or 3-blade prop engine configuration, the CIS Seneca II is a fly and visual experience.

We developed a real-time W&B options sheet that matches the actual graph in the POH.  Change your load and keep it inside the envelope.   Feel the difference in flight with a "heavy tail" or "heavy nose".

If you love GA, this aircraft is a must.

Tested by real Seneca II pilots!

What pilots are saying about the CIS Seneca II

Grate job Capt Iceman, congratulations!!!

JUANBEBO

This is a beautiful airplane! It flies very well. I’m not a pilot, but the pilots among us say it is very accurate. The support is exceptional. It is updated regularly, including new features as they become available. Best of all, it does all this without killing your framerate while running. It is by far my favorite plane in XP12! Bravo!

I did my MEP(L) and ME IR on the Seneca V, so I was very excited to have a Seneca in X-Plane. What can I say? This plane has progressed like a rocket in the last few weeks, and many more cool things are still to come!
The developer is one of the friendliest and most open-minded person in the flight sim community I have ever spoken to, taking care about pretty much every input he gets to make this plane better and better!

As of now, the CIS Seneca II is already a fantastic representation of a real Piper Seneca, with great handling characteristics (especially the single-engine behaviour, which is spot on and feels like the real plane), beautiful textures and very authentic sounds!

So If you are looking for a great twin-engine aircraft that comes extremely close to the real plane, you are in the right place! Scroll up and hit the “Add to cart” button 😉

I also did my MEP(L) in a Seneca II some 40 years ago now, so I was very pleased to find this XP-12 version. Still getting to grips with it but bringing back happy memories.

Ok, I’m going to put it to ya straight… I LOVE THIS PLANE! The Seneca has loooonnng been my fave and this one does not disappoint. I got this one very early on and have seen it grow into a fully matured aircraft model. I used to fly the Seneca V from Carenado but support for that fell by the wayside (it was developed right at the transition from XP10 to XP11) and it became unusable as XP11 progressed. I am so thankful to have a Seneca back in my hangar. Well done, iceman!

I enjoy this plane so much. Its comfortable true Piper cockpit looks great under all conditions. It is a joy to fly. The gauges are great to read (with beautiful back-lighting) and the layout is very ergonomic. It comes with the original POH (but you can also just go and fly – it is forgiving and straightforward). I think it is very immersive and I would clearly vote it the most enjoyable twin, maybe even overall most useful GA aircraft in XP12. The developer never seems to stop and has listened a lot to the users.
I feel this is going to be a classic and a staple in the X-Plane community within a short time.
