MMJC  Atizapán de Zaragoza

The airport Jorge Jímenez Cantú in Atizapán de Zaragoza, Edo. de Mex. is a small general aviation airport.

Located in the outskirts of Mexico's City valley, Atizapán is a very busy airport for flight schools, single prop, twin prop, turbo prop and small business jets.

Due to its orography and high elevation (8,120 ft), it presents a good challenge for any kind of pilot.

Runway 04-22 lies on the top of a small hill next to a couple of mountains and surrounded by Valle Escondido Country Club.

Capt. Iceman Scenery Series, brings us an accurate rendition of this airport for Xplane 11. Taking advantage of PBR, the scenery features reflective runways, custom crafted ramp textures and ground textures, this scenery is surely a winner!

Buildings have been carefully modeled to represent the hangars, tower and service buildings.

Enjoy flying in one of the most busiest general aircraft airports in Mexico.

Ortho Tile for the CIS MMJC Atizapán de Zaragoza Scenery.

Due to the complicated orography of the terrain, we are providing free an ortho4XP tile to depict the airport properly.

The scenery was designed using this HD 9m mesh that resembles the plateau where the airport lays with the proper slope running down from runway 04 to runway 22.

The link to download the terrain mesh for this scenery will available inside your order details once you purchase the scenery

If you have TotalMexico this download is not necessary.  Just download the tile +19-100 from the TotalMexico software.

Happy flights!

From Capt. Iceman's log

My first hour of flight is engraved in my mind, heart and soul.  It will be until the end of my days.

I will never forget the rush of adrenaline with the small Cessna 152 aligned to the runway at the head of runway 04.

I pushed the throttle all the way. The small engine answered roaring as the aircraft started slowly to roll down the runway.  Vibrating, shaking.

My heart was beating faster and faster as the airplane was gaining speed and suddenly, after reaching 70 knots in the speedometer and pulling the yoke, all that shaking ended.

I was airborne.  The ground was looking smaller at each heart beat.

At that moment I knew I was at home.

I hope you will enjoy flying in Atizapán.

Spread your wings!
